Radio wave heating of astrophysical plasmas

The coherent plasma process such as parametric decay instability (PDI) has been applied to a homogeneous and unmagnetized plasma. These instabilities cause anomalous absorption of strong electromagnetic radiation under specific conditions of energy and momentum conservation and thus cause anomalous heating of the plasma. The maximum plasma temperatures reached are functions of luminosity of the radio radiation and plasma parameters. We believe that these processes may be taking place in many astrophysical objects. Here, the conditions in the sources 3C 273, 3C 48 and Crab Nebula are shown to be conducive to the excitation of PDI. These processes also contribute towards the absorption of 21cm radiation  相似文献   

Can the inner gap sparking take place in millisecond pulsars？

The inner vacuum gap model has become the foundation stone of most theories on pulsar radio emission. The fundamental picture of this model is the sparking, which was conjectured to be induced by magnetic absorption of background gamma photons. However, a question is, can the sparking be triggered in the millisecond pulsars (MSPs) with magnetic fields (B) only about 108 G? We investigate this problem by including the pair production above the inner gap. Under the assumption that the magnetic field is dipolar, our results show the background gamma-ray emission can not be the key factor that triggers the sparking, at least not in MSPs with B - 108 G, if the temperature in the polar cap region is only so high as is observed (< 4 × 106 K). Some other mechanisms are required.  相似文献

Pulsar reflections within the Crab Nebula

Between 1997 August and October, the radio pulses from the Crab pulsar were followed by discrete moving echoes, which appear to be reflections from part of an ionized shell in the outer part of the Crab Nebula, crossing the line of sight to pulsar. Similar events have now been recognized in recordings from the past 30 yr, and it seems that the Nebula must contain a large number of ionized shell-like surfaces on a much finer scale than recognized hitherto.  相似文献   

The integrated optical spectrum of the Crab nebula and evidence for its fading synchrotron continuum

A flux-calibrated optical spectrum integrated over the entire Crab nebula was obtained by making drift scans with a long-slit spectrograph. Compared to observations obtained over the past 40 years, these new data confirm an earlier controversial result that the [O iii ]  λλ4959, 5007  equivalent width is increasing with time, although the rate of ∼0.9 per cent yr⁻¹ is somewhat slower than that measured previously. Additionally, the Hβ equivalent width is increasing at a comparable rate, but the measured fluxes of both Hβ and [O  iii ] have changed less than their respective equivalent widths. The different rates of change in the measured fluxes and equivalent widths of these lines suggest that the optical synchrotron continuum from the Crab nebula is indeed fading rapidly. The apparent decline is consistent with a rate around  −0.5 (±0.2)  per cent yr⁻¹ at wavelengths near 5000  Å inferred independently from measurements of the optical continuum flux during the same time period.  相似文献

本文研究了虾蟹海产品香味的前体物质在加热前后的变化。实验结果表明：对虾和蟹肌肉中的糖原和不饱和脂肪酸在加热前后含量下降，糖原是Ｍａｉｌｌａｒｄ反应的基础物质．不饱和脂肪酸是虾蟹肌肉香味中羰基化合物的前体物质。虾蟹肌肉中主要积累的核苷酸成分ＡＭＰ在加热后减少，而肌肉提取物中的游离氨基酸和结合氨基酸，特别是疏水氨基酸含量均增加。  相似文献

对山东半岛南海岸3个地点虾池内的蟹类组成、分布和携带病毒的情况进行了调查,并用敌百虫和次氯酸钠对天津厚蟹(Helicana fridens)进行了杀灭试验。发现虾池内的蟹类组成相对简单,蟹洞分布 85％集中在水位线以上 100 cm至水位线下 30 cm区域内;敌百虫对天津厚蟹的 96 h半致死浓度 LTD_(50)(96 h)=1.25×10~(-6),96 h全部将天津厚蟹杀死的浓度为 2.75×10~(-6);次氯酸钠(以有效氯计)对天津厚蟹的 72 h半致死浓度为 LTD_(50)(72 h)=63.8×10~(-6),72 h内将天津厚蟹全部杀死的浓度为 111.1×10~(-6)。  相似文献

The problem to compute the magnetic field above the chromosphere using data of the vector = B _t/Bt that gives the projected field direction can be solved with different approximations. The field of direction vectors is, however, not the only field accessible to observations. The Stokes parameters, which are components of the radiation tensor, can be measured at each point of the image plane. The directions of the eigenvectors of the radiation tensor define two mutually orthogonal systems of integral curves in the image plane. These families of curves have singular points, which are generally of different type than those of the vector field. When the morphology of H chromospheric fibrils are used to infer the topology of the magnetic field, a similar problem is met, suggesting that singular points should also be present there.  相似文献   

Special Solutions in a Simplified Restricted Three-Body Problem with Gravitational Radiation Taken into Account

The distinctive feature of the relativistic restricted three-body problem within the c ^–5 order of accuracy (2 post-Newtonian approximation) is the presence of the gravitational radiation. To simplify the problem the motion of the massive binary components is assumed to be quasi-circular. In terms of time these orbits have linearly changing radii and quadratically changing phase angles. By substituting this motion into the Newtonian-like equations of motion one gets the quasi-Newtonian restricted quasi-circular three-body problem sufficient to take into account the main indirect perturbations caused by the binary radiation terms. Such problem admits the Lagrange-like quasi-libration solutions and rather simple quasi-circular orbits lying at large distance from the binary.  相似文献
